• This is a must!  This standard ensures that; the work will be performed by trained installers and that we are required to meet ALL your vehicle manufacturer’s requirements for a safe and proper installation.  So you can be sure you and your family are safe after the work is done.  Your safety is our # 1 concern.

• Certification tests and/or factory training assure installers are knowledgeable and stay current with the changes in the industry.

• This is important to ask.  The Full-Cutout Method is the ONLY method approved by vehicle manufacturers.
• Not done properly, your vehicle would rust around the windshield, causing serious safety problems and badly devaluing your vehicle.

• The use of powder free nitrile gloves assures no oils from the installers hands get onto the glass or pinchweld.  If this were to occur proper adhesion of the urethane could be reduced significantly.  Use of nitrile gloves eliminates this risk.

• Original Equipment Manufacturer, OEM quality is the best available.  Insist on OEM quality for your vehicle.  There are cheaper products out there and some companies are willing to cut corners by using those products and skipping important steps in the replacement process.  Don’t allow this to happen to you.

• The company should stand behind their work.  If the w/s leaks water, you hear air noise or if the windshield cracks due to a stress crack it should be covered.  That tells you the shop owner is confident in their work and willing to prove it by providing a guarantee.

If they answered, Yes, then ask how/why?  (Any person, at any company MUST be able to explain these important facts with you.  If they can’t, beware of the danger to your family if they perform auto glass work for you.  You’re not getting the oil changed–you’re replacing one of the most important safety features in your vehicle.)

• YES!  The passenger’s side air bag can hit the windshield at over 200mph!  If the w/s is not properly installed it could pop out during an accident greatly increasing the possibility of more severe injuries or death.
• YES!  The w/s and back window of your vehicle can provide up to 60% of the roof strength in a roll over accident.  If either one is incorrectly installed they may fail to hold up the roof and that could cause it to collapse down on the passengers.  As manufacturers continue to find ways to make vehicles lighter and cheaper to produce, glass is being counted on even more as one of the most important safety features in your vehicle.
